National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland, Oregon.

Why: To Heal the World.
Contact: lowell5@sonic.net; Lowell Darling/Facebook.

On January 1, 2015, at 12:00 Noon, wherever you are, you are asked to step outside and

place the palms of your hands on the Earth and think about making it feel better.

Very simple.

Background information: Since 1968, when Lowell Darling was an art student working his way through college by pushing a broom around the office of

Buckminster Fuller’s World Resources Inventory in Carbondale, Illinois,

he has actively pursued reducing world and urban problems by drawing attention to them, a form of subliminal advertising to promote Fuller’s concerns about the Earth.

He began by nailing towns and cities to the ground to prevent them from flying off the planet due to the excess weight of over-population.
In the mid-1970s Darling began performing Urban Acupuncture treatments, inserting large needles in strategic geographic points.

His successes include ending the California drought in 1977/78; reducing the flow of heroin in Vancouver BC;

reviving downtown Portland, Oregon; solving a major sewage problem for tiny Port Costa, California.

He also laced up the San Andreas Fault to prevent earthquakes.

He has also conferred 50,000+ MFAs from his own correspondence art school, saving students millions of dollars.

(He admits to failing to stem population growth and blames it on human nature: “We are horny critters...”)
Darling’s work has been documented in the media on CBS, NBC, ABC, BBC, CBC, PBS, Showtime,

and articles in The New York Times, The London Times, Time magazine, Rolling Stone and Esquire, etc etc.

He was on the ballot for Governor of California in 1978 and 2010. His work in the past has been considered humorous and satirical,

but he is dead serious this time. The world needs a hand, and he has only two. Saving the Earth will take thousands.

Millions would be better.
